Really fast, elegant, easy and very 'clean' shoutbox.

So now I have to add <sf_shoutbox> to the header template on all of my theme templates.
The plugin should be able to do this itself. :(

It is a really clean and simple ShoutBox mod that was really easy to install. However the one thing I wish it had and hopefully the developers will take this in to consideration as a feature request is the ability to put the ShoutBox on pages other than the Index of your forums. I am sure all you need to do is add the <sf_shoutbox> code under the Header of each page of your forums, but that seems like a hassle and a bit too much work. Overall it's a pretty nice mod.

IT NOT WORKING WITH POLISH LETTERS

This has been working fine until yesturday. It's stopped working. I've tried re-installing and everything and it will not work. It always stays on 'Loading...'

It has an important bug which makes too much server load.

FIX
In file jscripts/shoutbox.js comment out line 19:
//setTimeout("ShoutBox.showShouts();", ShoutBox.refreshInterval * 1000);

In file inc/plugins/tpl_sf_shoutbox.txt change line 28:
Event.observe(window, 'load', ShoutBox.showShouts);
to:
setInterval("ShoutBox.showShouts();", ShoutBox.refreshInterval * 1000);

Each time you post a shout you get another "refresh thread" because showShouts() is run. After you post 100 shouts you query the server 101 times per refresh interval (configurable). Many people set refresh interval to 1 second to have most responsive chat. With multiple users it kills the server.

And this shoutbox works with Polish letters ;p

i think it dont have any problem in arabic becasue it written by a Iranian person .
