Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. I have several other plugins installed successfully so I have no idea as to why this one does not. I don't know why new member email notification to admins is not a standard feature anyway like in most other forum software??

Edit June 20, 2008: I'm an idiot :-) I didn't know I had to configure the email address in Board Settings. It now works just fine.

Does this plug-in work with 1.4?

The plugin didn't work with 1.6.4 (1604), but my customer wanted it - so I decided to patch it up.
The patch is available here: v11.to.v12.diff
What was actually changed? Easy - the three (3) lines calling insert_query just needed the TABLE_PREFIX bit removed; it seems the function now does that by itself. I also added the no-direct-call code-snippet (which I copied from hello_world). Oh, and I removed (commented out) the no longer required conditional creation of rebuild_settings, just for sanity's sake.
The other changes are purely of a cosmetic nature, bumped the version and glorified myself in the author-string ;-)

yBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
1146 - Table 'insiteso_ISSBB.mybb_mybb_settinggroups' doesn't exist
Query:
INSERT INTO mybb_mybb_settinggroups (`gid`,`name`,`title`,`description`,`disporder`,`isdefault`) VALUES ('NULL','Email Notification on Registration','Email Notification on Registration','','1','no')
